Eggs for Bart is a dark and twisted video game that is set in the “Simpsons” universe.

Dozens of different video games have been based off this popular animated series, but very few are as spin-chilling as Eggs for Bart. While the premise of this game seems silly, the tone is incredibly dark. As the game progresses, you are going to find out just how depraved this universe can be. The development team at Fleebs has done an excellent job of creating a world-class horror game while including many of the most iconic characters and locations from the show.

This game is broken up into three different chapters, and you start off playing as Homer. As soon as you enter the first chapter, Bart will ask you to look through the house for some eggs that have gone missing. The first twist in the story is the fact that the power has been cut to the house, and that means Homer must use a small flashlight that only allows him to see a few feet in front of himself. While you are searching for eggs, you will quickly find out that you aren’t the only being in the house.

At the end of the first chapter, the game is going to shift once again, and you will control the lovable neighbor Ned. This neighbor will continue to spout off all of his most famous phrases as he looks through the city for various clues. After you have gathered enough clues, it is time to file a report with Clancy Wiggum. Chief Wiggum happens to be the head of the police department in Springfield, and you will complete the game playing as this dim-witted law enforcement officer.

The overall feel of Eggs for Bart is what truly sets this title apart from all of the other video games based on this universe. Right from the start, you are going to be tossed into a terrifying fictional world where everything seems to be evil. The ominous music perfectly complements the art design, and you are sure to jump at least a few times throughout the game. As an added bonus, this title is completely free to play, and that means you can share it with all of your friends.

The biggest drawback of Eggs for Bart is the fact that there are only three chapters. The entire game can be completed in one or two hours, and it is sure to leave you wanting more. While the development team at Fleebs has claimed that they will be adding new chapters, a release date hasn’t been set. That being said, this title is very polished, and it could be one of the best free horror games on the market.
